New Format

The Enhanced ACT (2025–2026)

Starting in the 2025–2026 testing year, the ACT is rolling out its “Enhanced” format with several key changes:

  • Science is now optional — it's scored separately and is not included in your composite score.
  • Composite = average of 3 sections — English, Math, and Reading, each scored 1–36.
  • Shorter passages and streamlined format — the overall test is more focused while maintaining rigor.
  • Same 1–36 scale — colleges still see a familiar composite score.

All CramClub ACT practice tests are updated to reflect the Enhanced ACT format, so you're always practicing the current version of the test.

How many ACT practice tests does CramClub offer?+
CramClub currently offers 12 full-length ACT practice tests, each with unique passages and questions that mirror the real Enhanced ACT format. New editions are added regularly.
How is the ACT scored?+
The Enhanced ACT (2025–2026) composite score is the average of your English, Math, and Reading section scores, each scaled from 1–36. Science is now optional and scored separately. Your composite is rounded to the nearest whole number.
What changed in the Enhanced ACT?+
The Enhanced ACT (rolling out 2025–2026) makes the Science section optional — it is no longer included in the composite score. The composite is now the average of English, Math, and Reading. The test also introduces shorter passages and a streamlined format, while keeping the same 1–36 scoring scale.
How is the ACT different from the SAT?+
The ACT has four sections (English, Math, Reading, Science) compared to the SAT's two (Reading & Writing, Math). The ACT is linear (same questions for everyone), while the Digital SAT is adaptive. The ACT allows a calculator on all math questions, and its composite is 1–36 versus the SAT's 400–1600. Both are accepted by all U.S. colleges.
Does CramClub have an AI tutor for the ACT?+
Yes. Professor Cramster, our AI tutor, reviews every wrong answer with a detailed, step-by-step explanation. It identifies the concept you missed, walks through the correct approach, and suggests targeted practice — all included free.
